Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

To transparent the image you have to choose the right layer you want to make transparent. If you want to make the backgrouond transparent (the first layer) you have to copy the background to an own layer, and clear the background. On Layers you have a parameter Opacity you can change from 0% to 100%

About using brushes: Uh! I tought myself using the brushes for drawing and painting, so I don't really know good tutorials. Also I found out that SAI is much easier to use for painting, so I only use photoship as an additional program.

But you will find a neverending bunsh of tutorials here:

It can be hard to find the right tutorial, so you can also take a look at #TutorialsClub and other groups like this.
